March 4th Design Considerations for Learners on the Go #mLearning
In this free webinar the topic what considerations to have in mind when dealing with mlearning projects.
There are close to a dozen different iOS devices and over 4,200 different Android devices on the market. Designing training content for these different devices is challenging. When considering building training material for mobile devices, you might wonder if it’s best to build a native application or a web application. It’s important to know the advantages and disadvantages of each of these two options, and to understand the significant differences between developing for mobile and developing for traditional desktops.
In this session, you’ll explore a matrix that will help you understand the advantages and disadvantages of building native applications versus building web applications. You’ll discuss topics such as flexible layout for smartphones, appropriate fonts, font sizing, colors, and safe viewing areas on a phone. You’ll explore what mobile training is versus just-in-time information (JII), and how the differences between the two can impact how and what you build for your mobile learners.

March 4th Gamification: A Look Inside One Organization’s Success Story #Gamification #eLearning
In this free webinar, the topic is how to include gamification elements in our eLearning projects in order to make our course a lil bit different and achieve more engagement.
From badges to points to rewards, gamifying eLearning courses is fast becoming a trend that is making some noise in the industry. Learners love the added challenge of beating their competition—or maybe even themselves—while providers are thrilled to see a refreshing level of interest in courses as a result.
While gamification continues to make itself known, there tends to be several lagging questions eLearning providers just don’t know the answers to:
- Is gamificiation right for my organization and our content?
- Where and how do we get started?
- What resources are available to us?
What are others doing and what is working for them?

March 25th Creating a Budget for Your eLearning Projects #ProjectManagement
There are many factors that go into properly budgeting for an eLearning project. Course requirements such as length, locked-down navigation, Section 508 compliance, simulations, and games can cause longer development times, and therefore a greater cost of development. How do you determine which factors affect the project time and budget, and by how much?
In this collaborative session you will explore how to identify significant time and cost factors for the completion of an eLearning project. Taking those factors into consideration, you will devise a formula that you can take back to the office and implement with your favorite spreadsheet program. With this flexible tool at your fingertips, you will be able to calculate an accurate budget for your next eLearning project.
